I can't really say if this was any good as it wouldn't fit my car. It appears to be good quality however I had to return it. There are several positions to set this up depending on what car you have. My car isn't listed in the table in the instructions and it clearly states that if your car isn't listed then you shouldn't use it. I suspect that I could have fitted without issue but my thought process was that if anything went wrong then I couldn't make a complaint if I didn't follow the instructions. This is actually the 2nd carrier I've returned for this reason. Website doesn't help and store staff are less than knowledgeable about this issue. Come on decathlon update your instructions and website! If your car is listed then I suspect this carrier would be perfect
We were not advised in the shop that this would not suit ladies or children's bikes. Only now do I see that we should buy an adapter, at £17.99 each, for each ladies and child bike - so that is all three of them! So basically B'twin have designed a bike rack for men. Women and children pay extra. No thanks, I'll take my money elsewhere.
Thank you very much for your feedback regarding this bike rack. I can fully understand your frustration.
It is difficult to safely squeeze low framed bikes on to this rack (and from other brands such as Thule as well) but it is recommended that you use a frame adapter. We have this information to our website product pages to help inform customers to avoid disappointment. Kids bikes do frequently go on this rack, but in order for it to get the optimal fit, I would suggest adjusting the angle of the clamps (with an allen key) allowing a snug fit on your frame. A bike with a horizontal top tube fits with no issue. I will make a point of reminding the store teams of the need for a frame adapter in some cases.
