ينتج الجسم حرارة أثناء التمرينات، ويتم الاحتفاظ بها بفضل العزل الحراري للملابس. إذا لم تكن الملابس ملائمة لهذا الغرض سيبرد الجسم وسينخفض تدفق الدم لليدين للحفاظ على دفء المركز. لذا يجب تهيئة القفازات والملابس للاستخدام للحفاظ على راحة الأيدي.
إذا لم تكن متأكدًا من المقاس، سيكون من الأفضل دائما اختيار زوج القفازات بمقاس كبير قليلا وليس صغير قليلا.
