Technical Information

Laboratory Testing
Quechua has conducted tests to simulate the ageing of its backpacks. The tests focused on components, seams and the end product. As a result of these tests, Quechua and Decathlon can guarantee all bags tested for a duration of 10 years from the date of purchase indicated on the sales receipt.
10-year guarantee
The guarantee covers any backpack faults, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 10-year guarantee will only be granted upon presentation of the product and sales receipt. If the product is under guarantee, it will be repaired or exchanged for free. This commercial guarantee does not affect any statutory guarantees that are applicable in the country of purchase.
Environmental measures
Oxylane and Quechua have chosen to inform you of the environmental impact of its hiking backpack products over the entire life cycle. This work follows an experiment completed in July 2011 with the French Ministry of Ecology. Scores ranging from A to E were awarded based on comparisons between Quechua's backpacks only. Details on this project and the calculation methods used are available at http://www.oxylane.com/20/demarche-environnementale

Product test
All our backpacks are tested in the field by users who represent the target market under conditions identical to those found in typical use. In particular, our Missions Tests link the product manager up with people who are not affiliated to Quechua to test, develop and approve the products.

Stockage tips
Store the backpack in a dry place.

Maintenance tips
To ensure materials retain their properties (especially waterproofing), we recommend you do not machine wash, tumble dry, dry-clean, or bleach your backpack. Do not iron. To clean your backpack by hand, use warm soapy water and a brush if needed. After a few years of use, you should renew the water repellent properties of the fabric using a waterproofing spray.

NH100 10L rucksack.

One for partner to take on his bike rides. One for me to take to work. Very roomy. Holds water bottle, lunch and essentials. Love the Quechua small rucksack range.
Very practical and excellent value
Used for More than 1 year
We bought one of these and a Quechua packable rucksack for my mum for beach trips, town walks, an extra bag for weekends away, visits to castles and country homes etc.
She used to rely on unsuitable of bulky bags when all she needed was a basic bag for sandwiches, water and a spare layer. All she needed it turned out was this. She now brings it when we go away together and makes good use of it. It is more functional as a rucksack than the packable ones (which I love for different reasons) because of the padded straps and backs. If i were to be picky (Decathlon ought to consider employing me a designer with all the kit of theirs I've bought!) I would add an internal zip pocket but for the money....
It seems very well made and I love that it comes in a variety of colours which makes it ideal for people who wouldn't normally consider a rucksack. Like my mum, who can coordinate this with her coats etc.
I think the red looks cool.
My mum has no issues with discomfort and finds it practical to stick in the boot of her car for walks when you might need a waterproof or extra layer or some snacks but don't need to go mad over day sacks etc.
Buy one.
