I am a complete tent novice, having never put a tent up before. This was super easy, after I sat and read the instructions for 15 mins I knew what to do and now I've put it up a few times and it's really easy. I recently took it to rainy and windy Wales and the tent stood the test, no leaks, no movement. It's very roomy with room for a double airbed and all your belongings in the bedroom compartment and room for multiple chairs and belongings in the "living" area. The only thing that would improve it is a fly net on the front entrance so you can have the door open but the net down to stop flies. I also couldn't get it back in the small bag it came in but that's not an issue for me!
I assembled this with a bit of help from my children (15,13 & 10), it was a bit wonky, so next time I’ll look at the poles to make sure they’re even rather than having to adjust afterwards. We had storms, torrential rain and strong winds, it was noisy but kept us dry & cosy. It was a snug fit but we had just enough room. Really pleased with this tent.
Very durable wind rain in Cornwall and it stood the test very please
This was our first ever tent we purchased. Went to Decathlon and spent a few quid getting everything we needed to start our camping trips. Myself, partner and a toddler using the tent. There was plenty of space for us and fit 2 double blow up beds in the bedroom part. On our second night came the real heavy rain and thunderstorm and I mean heavy and all night. This tent stood it but we did notice 2 tiny droplets in the morning. I can handle that. It exceeded above my expectations and really thought we’d all be soaked in the morning. Our first tent did us proud. A great buy.
It was a good choice, overall the whole tent is nice, it was raining from 4pm to 7am so around 15h and sometimes it was heavy, we didn't have a drop of water in the tent.
Firstly the instructions are hopeless, watch the video online! Once you've worked out what goes where it's easy to put up, took me 15 mins on my own (with the dog helping!) the living space is a great size, could easily fit bikes in it. The bedroom couldn't really fit 4 adults unless they were VERY good friends, but that's the same for all tents. It is a lovely roomy tent for us two and the dog. The poles are way more sturdy than other tents, I don't feel they would easily snap. Overall I'd definitely recommend it. It's so nice to be able to stand up when getting dressed instead of rolling around on the mattress trying to pull my trousers up!
Great looking tent, bought for our staycation this year, in Scotland.
Not a good buy. One of the coldest and noisiest tents I’ve ever been in. A groundsheet is attached to the sleeping area but not the front section. The best idea would be to go to Decathlon on a windy day and pay particular attention to the design at the front & sides. The wind just blows right through it.
This product is no use for Scottish weather.
Thanks for taking the time review our Arpenaz 4.1 Family Tent. I'm sorry to hear that you were unsatisfied with this product. For sure this tent is not the perfect option for difficult conditions as it is a basic model designed for use in better weather.
