UPF 50+ component: blocks at least 98% of UVB rays and 95% of UVA.
Although this cover provides protection from the sun, phenomena such as reflections (from the water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, etc., must be taken into account. The use of this shelter does not exempt the user from following the relevant advice: wear a UV protection T-shirt, wear sunglasses, wear a hat or cap, regularly apply an appropriate sun cream, drink regularly, etc.
The Paruv 160 parasol is wind resistant up to 20 km/h. To secure it in the sand, use a screw-in anchor, available to purchase separately.
All the anti-UV parasols can be inclined at 35° and 50° with the "Tilt incline paruv". This is sold separately and exclusively through Decathlon.

Designed and tested by our teams in Hendaye, France. The Decathlon Research & Development team conducted measurements in real-life conditions to test to the performance and UV protection of this product.
The sun protection fabrics are tested in the laboratory by our engineers.
With ecodesign, we reduce the environmental impact of our products.
Analysing the product's environmental footprint enabled us to identify the most impactful stages of its life cycle. Thanks to this approach, our design teams were able to develop this product while significantly reducing its environmental impact.
Product made from 100% dope dyed yarn
Using this mass-dyeing process enables us to reduce CO2 emissions linked to the production of dyed textiles by at least 17% compared to conventional dyeing.
