1. Introduction
Welcome to Decathlon Egypt. These Terms of Sale ("Terms") govern the purchase of products and services ("Products") from our website, mobile applications, and any associated platforms ("Website"). By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Decathlon Egypt is operated by Decathlon Sports Egypt Ltd, a company registered in Egypt. Our registered office is located at Unit 1, Unit number A1-07-10, Ground Floor, City Centre Almaza, Al Moltaka Al Arabi District, Almaza, Cairo. Our VAT registration number is 528-245-120.
2. Ordering and Acceptance
To place an order, select the desired Products and follow the checkout instructions. Once your order is submitted, you will receive an order acknowledgment email confirming receipt of your request.
This acknowledgment does not constitute acceptance of your order. A binding contract (“Contract”) is formed only when we send you an order dispatch confirmation, indicating that your Products have been shipped or are ready for collection.
We reserve the right to reject or cancel any order at our discretion, for reasons including product unavailability, pricing errors, or failure to pass payment verification.
3. Price and Payment
All prices are stated in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) and include VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without prior notice, but confirmed orders will not be affected.
Delivery charges and any applicable fees will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
We accept multiple payment methods, including credit/debit cards, digital wallets, Decathlon gift cards, and other payment methods displayed on our Website. Payment is securely processed, and your account will be charged once the order is confirmed.
If payment fails, the order may be cancelled. We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel orders if payment is not successfully processed.
For detailed guidance, please refer to our Means of Payment.
4. Delivery and Collection
We provide home delivery and in-store pickup options. Delivery times will be provided during checkout and may vary based on the delivery method and destination.
You are responsible for providing a correct and accessible delivery address. If delivery fails due to an incorrect address or inaccessibility, additional fees may apply for redelivery or return.
Ownership of the Products transfers to you upon receipt of full payment, while risk passes either at delivery (for home delivery) or click & collect (for in-store pickup).
5. Risk and Ownership
Risk of loss or damage to the Products passes to you at the point of delivery if the Products are being delivered to your address, or at the point of collection if the Products are collected in-store. This means that once the Products are delivered or collected, you are responsible for any loss, damage, or deterioration that occurs thereafter.
Ownership of the Products, however, transfers to you only once full payment has been received. Until such time, we retain legal ownership of the Products, even if they have been delivered or collected.
You are legally required to take reasonable care of the Products while they are in your possession. Any damage resulting from negligence or misuse may affect your entitlement to a refund or replacement, and we or our Partners may deduct the cost of deterioration from any refund you may be due.
6. Cancellation and Returns
You may cancel a Contract at any time within 14 days following the delivery of your order. For detailed guidance, please refer to our Returns Policy.
If you cancel your order, you will receive a full refund of the price paid for the Products and/or Services, in accordance with our refunds policy and/or the policy of any Partners involved in fulfilling your order.
To cancel a Contract, you must clearly inform us by accessing your account, selecting your order history, and following the online instructions to initiate a return.
You must also return the Products to us (if sold directly by Decathlon Egypt) or directly to the Partner (if sold by the Partner) within 14 days after notifying us of the cancellation. Products must be returned in the same condition as when you received them. This does not interfere with your right to inspect the Products to ensure they conform to your order.
You are legally obliged to take reasonable care of the Products while they are in your possession. If you fail to do so, we or our Partners may deduct the cost of any deterioration, up to the price of the Product, from the refund you would otherwise be entitled to.
Products Not Eligible for Cancellation
You will not have the right to cancel a contract for the supply of the following Products and/or Services, unless they were damaged, faulty, or incorrectly delivered:
- Perishable items;
- Audio/visual recordings, computer software, or hygiene-sealed items, where the sealed packaging has been opened;
- Products or Services that have been personalised or made to your bespoke specifications.
Returning Products
To return Products, you should package the parcel securely, including a note with your name, address, and any returns slip provided. Return the Products either:
- Directly to Decathlon Egypt (if sold by us), using a courier or recorded delivery service; or
- Directly to the Partner (if sold by a Partner), according to the Partner’s instructions.
We recommend that you take out sufficient postal or carriage insurance to cover the value of the contents. Please retain proof of postage and tracking information until your refund has been fully processed. You will be responsible for the cost and risk of returning the Products, except in cases where we or our Partners provide replacements for Products not in stock.
Consumer Rights
Details of your consumer rights and instructions on how to exercise them will be provided in your Order Confirmation. Nothing in this section affects your statutory legal rights under Egyptian Consumer Protection Law.
7. Faulty Products
If a Product is faulty upon delivery, you may request repair, replacement, or refund, in accordance with Egyptian consumer protection laws. Contact customer service promptly with details of the issue.
8. Liability
Decathlon Egypt is liable for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of statutory rights. For any other loss, liability is limited to the purchase price of the Products in question.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or business-related losses.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the website shall be submitted to the competent courts in Egypt.
