As a Muay Thai practitioner, it's important to choose a boxing glove that suits your practice.
Grabs and throws are part of the basic techniques of Thai boxing, so it's important to use a glove that's designed for the practice:
- "Short" foam shape to allow for grabs.
- Ergonomic foam for optimal comfort
- Glove tightening strap to avoid losing it during clinch work.
What accessories to use with this Muay Thai glove?
To limit odours and moisture in your gloves, consider using straps (ref: 8558269) or glove liners (ref: 8766117). Easy to remove and wash, they extend the life span of your gloves by limiting unpleasant odours.
You can also use glove driers (ref: 8600604) to fully dry out your gloves between workouts. By airing out your gloves, you reduce unpleasant odours due to moisture.
How to choose the right size boxing gloves
Boxing gloves come in different sizes so you can find the right fit.
They are sized based on your body size rather than your hand size.
Women: 45 to 55 kg -> 10 oz.
55 to 65 kg -> 12 oz.
65 to 75 kg -> 14 oz.
> 75 kg -> 16 oz.
Men's:
55 to 65 kg -> 10 oz.
