| How do you evaluate the level of protection from a shin guard? |
The protection provided by a product is based on two factors: coverage of the zone to protect and shock absorption.
- Protection zones: we conducted anatomical studies of the tibia.
- Shock absorption: with the help of around ten boxers, we studied the energy transferred from strikes when sparring at an intermediate level.
The 500 shin guards absorb an impact of 10 joules (the standard calls for 3 joules), while remaining as lightweight and as close to the shin as possible. |
| How to design a shin guard that stays in place |
To ensure your shin guard stays in place throughout your entire session, we started out with anatomical data. The aim? A design that truly hugs the shape of the shin.
The foam is shaped to follow the natural outline of the shin, giving you the perfect fit.
We added two straps with a two-way buckle that allows you to snugly fit the shin guard to your lower leg. |
| What does it mean when a shin guard 'twists'? |
During training, shin guards have a tendency to twist, moving either to the side, or up or down. Sometimes you feel like you've spent the entire session rearranging them. That's why we're proud to present these shin guards. Boxers can focus on their boxing technique and not their kit! These shin guards stay in place without restricting your movement, and their excellent fit means you're more comfortable while training. |
